Author:

Been meaning to ask this question ever since I bought Civ4
When ever I am playing the screen saver doesn't come on and I am
wondering if this is normal
Not that its a big deal if I am leaving it for a while I just click on
show desktop and it works

Civ IV Question: How many hours (days?) do the "pros" take to play a game, roughly speaking?

Author: Sid Meier

Just wondering as I am not a hard core but rather a casual Civ IV
player. I always feel like I am rushing through the game, but it is
after all a complicated game. But, leaving aside the fact that many
of you know the game inside out, about how long should a game at my
level take to play?

  Vanilla Civ4 smartmap monarch, now 1850 a.d.

Lots of trees, light jungle, lots of hills, no peaks.
Extra grass for the cottagers. Fifty percent ocean.

Only victory conditions enabled are conquest and cultural.
Elizabeth, Napolean and Roosevelt are the only leaders on
a smartmap huge map. The exploration phase went on until
the barbs started with the archers. Circumnavigated with
a galley, and a workboat backed up by another galley.

I got pyramids, Roosevelt got the oracle. I got the
great lighthouse and the collosus. Roosevelt got the
parthenon. Napolean and I are on opposite ends of a
huge continent, made up of five great peninsulas...

does Beyond the Sword contain every new feature that Warlords has or would
it be worthwhile to play each expansion separately?

Does anyone even play Civ4 with this on?

As long as you can build the Great Wall you're OK, as you can then get
lots of cannon-fodder for promotions - but if you miss out, you're
totally screwed! :)

Mind you, the barbarians are certainly not stupid - they head straight
for any improvements, rather than well-defended cities - and they leave
a brown trail behind them if they see a really tough unit nearby... :)

Hey guys, I loved playing Civ 3 and kinda liked Civ4, but it's all

Head over to http://stores.ebay.co.uk/randomclown where we've got Civ2
in its original packaging available for purchase and shipping
worldwide.

Thanks,

Why do they sometimes dissolve just as you get into view of them?

Did I just make a dumb deal?
Does this mean I've given away the store in
some fashion when an AI leader has this
response to a trade we've made?

Three? That's an odd number.
