Le parti démocrate américain qui devait arbitrer cette nuit le conflit sur les primaires
contestées de la Floride et du Michigan a pris parti contre Hillary Clinton.
Les délégués élus dans ces deux Etats ne disposeront chacun que d’un demi-vote lors de la
Convention de Denver cet été, au cours de laquelle sera désigné le candidat officiel du
parti pour l’élection présidentielle de novembre. Un compromis qui ne devrait pas permettre
à Hillary Clinton de refaire son retard sur Barack Obama. Jusqu’à présent, les résultats des
primaires dans ces deux Etats, organisées sans respecter les règles, n’avaient pas été pris
en compte par le Parti démocrate.

JetBlue is cooling its jets by delaying plans to expand its fleet.
Discount airliner JetBlue announced Tuesday that it is putting the
brakes on its plans to expand its fleet by delaying the purchase of 21
Airbus jetliners for five years. The company is reacting to soaring fuel
costs, which are shrinking margins as well as slackening passenger demand.

Investors weren't enthused about the airline's curbed ambitions. The
Forest Hills, N.Y.-based company's shares tumbled 2.0%%, or 10 cents, to
$4.31. JetBlue's stock has been charting a steady downward trajectory
for some time now; the company has fallen 60.2%% in the past 12 months.

Plane skids off runway in Honduras, 5 dead

TEGUCIGALPA (Reuters) - A Salvadoran passenger plane skidded off a
rain-soaked runway on landing at Tegucigalpa airport in Honduras on
Friday, killing five people and injuring 38 as it veered onto a road and
smashed into cars and a building.

The TACA airlines Airbus A320, on a flight from San Salvador with 135
passengers and crew, lay broken in three parts and was spewing fuel
after the accident, which happened in heavy rain and fog.

Passengers, some with blood streaming from their faces, stumbled out of
the plane over the broken wings as onlookers rushed to pull survivors
from the smoking plane, Reuters television images showed.

A paramedic tried to resuscitate one man in the wreckage, while injured
passengers sat stunned on the side of the road. One woman with a head
wound asked repeatedly, "Where am I?"

Toilet pump loaded aboard space shuttle

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - After being rushed in from Russia, a toilet pump
was loaded into space shuttle Discovery on Thursday just in time for
this weekend's liftoff to the international space station, where the
lone commode is acting up.

A NASA employee based in Moscow hand-carried the pump on a commercial
flight that touched down Wednesday night. Within hours, the pump and
related equipment were packed away aboard Discovery.

Discovery is scheduled to blast off Saturday on a 14-day mission. The
main delivery item is a 37-foot-long Japanese lab; it will be the
biggest room once installed at the space station.

Good weather was forecast for the late afternoon launch, and the
countdown was going well.

Straight from the muslim jungles of Kenya, this is the side you will not
