  Kildall

Assuming that Seattle Computer Products prooto-MS-DOS (QDOS?)
is a fair update of cp/m to 16bit systems,
Why did Kildall not sue the pants off either whoever wrote QDOS, or Gates?
or was it posited that they were (cp/m & MS-DOS) were descended in
inspiration anyway, from a common ancestor?.

I note that the Asus EEE newest incarnation uses Windows rather than Linux
( A linux version is available for more dosh), must be quite a story
there. (Quote, something like ``Asustek and Microsoft have had a
beneficial relationship'')

SCCAN meeting this Saturday, May 10

Author: rbernardo
Date: May 8, 2008 20:07

Hi, C= and Amiga devotees,
The next meeting of the Southern California
Commodore/Amiga Network (SCCAN, formerly CAN) is
this Saturday, May 10, from 3-5 p.m., in Castaic,
California. (If you need the exact address,
send me a message.) The usual Sunday meeting
was changed, due to Mother's Day falling on that
date.
At the last meeting, we examined a newly-
rebuilt A1200 and tried out the MMC2IEC from
NKCElectronics.

Sincerely,
Robert Bernardo

  Sample resume formats?

Author: hancock4
Date: May 8, 2008 13:40

Could anyone recommend a format for a resume for:

1) A long time I.T. developer? How would one condense 35 years of
experience into one or two pages?

2) A retired I.T. developer no longer interested in I.T. work, but
something light. That is, how would one prepare a resume to be
something like a store clerk or office receptionist when they have
essentially no experience doing that, but 30 years of software
development?

Years ago I was told that a programmer's resue should have (1)
hardware utilized, (2) software (operating system and languages), and
(3) applications descriptions. In the old days companies sought
people experience on a particular machine (e.g. Burroughs vs. IBM,
environment (e.g. COBOL vs. Assembler, even OS over DOS), and
application (accounting applications, industry specific applications,
etc.) I don't know if those rules still apply today.

thanks!
