It's a lot more bearable, if involuntarily confined, to get nice
snackies to eat (brought by friends or family, or hospital treats,
like Wednesday pizza and soda pop for lunch), books to read, and the
option of an exersize bike (although admittedly, on most of those
meds, YOU DO NOT WANT TO EXERCISE, AND YOU DON'T SWEAT, SO YOU GET TOO
HOT).

So you think it's ok to not commit someone who is a danger to
themselves or others? Prolonged commitment? The Baker Act covers
the first 72 hours and in most cases it's less than 24 hours before
someone is released.
