Baptisms, Boaters Clashing In Soddy-Daisy
by Jim Ashley
posted July 19, 2008
Churches in Soddy-Daisy that plan to perform baptisms at public boat
ramps will now have to first contact City Hall. That was the decision of
the Soddy-Daisy Commission during its meeting this week.
The unanimous decision was made following a report by Commissioner Geno
Shipley, who said that on the Fourth of July, a local church held
baptism services at a public boat ramp for about 40 people. And while
the services were taking place, an individual with a boat to launch
became impatient and went ahead and put it in the water.
=3FI think it=3Fs real rude to do something like that,=3F Commissioner Shipley
said.
=3FI don=3Ft know if it=3Fs legal or illegal,=3F but maybe there should be a
sign at public boat docks stating that boaters should respect a baptism
service and not launch boats until the service is over, he said.
City Attorney Sam Elliott noted that the boat ramp is one of only a few
in the area for public use and that the law stipulates that =3Fyou can=3Ft
hinder religion, but you can=3Ft advance it either.=3F

When I hear some moron whining about how animals are used as test
subjects, and have shampoo and other chemicals rubbed into their eyes
and mouths; frankly, I couldn't give a WALLABY'S BEHIND less. I mean,
it's about time animals did something for us humans! Besides, getting
some shaving cream rubbed in your eyes every few days is nothing
compared to agonizing HELL of going into WAL-MART and listening to
Boston's "More Than A Feeling" blaring over the loudspeakers for the
60th time that day, all while restocking the linen shelf and listening
to old ladies argue over fabric sizes. When do I get to be as lazy as
animals do? When I'm 40 years old!? Oh, and DON'T GET ME STARTED ON
OLD PEOPLE. All in all, I say SCREW THE ANIMALS! Man, I'm pissed!

You forgot to tell him that he was being punished because he blasphemed
the Holy Ghost.

That's just great joe! Maybe in another 200 million years your
descendants will be able to have an intelligent conversation with some
clover. Until then bugger off!
