I know what you mean, Janie. I did get Nanki-Poo's story when I adopted
him, but I've never known about the other shelter animals I adopted. I used
to suspect that Lindy had belonged to a little old lady who either died or
moved into a rest home, and that her name had been 'Precious'. Whenever I
called her precious, she would roll on her back and curl her paws.

My kids used to name ours, some dogs were Austin Healey, Oreo Moonshine,
poodles Mimi and Fifi, cats were 'Maizin Midnight, Fat Albert, Kinky
(Siamese with a kinky tail), Cougar, Lotus.

I suppose they checked for a chip? I sure do hope he is negative for
heartworm. He's so sweet and looks easy to groom yourself too.
