.......peeling beetroot, I watched in dismay as the winds shredded my
beautiful golden Sambucus and scattered it across the garden,
It is quite fun to watch the chickens in high wind, while I make up my
mind if they should be put back into the hen enclosure, because they
literally get bowled across the yard. They do miraculously seem to come
to no harm but I wouldn't want to be called a heartless chicken keeper
so I think I will take them to shelter.
John has already been around the place in the pick-up, gathering lost
limbs and broken branches. What a mess, and most unseasonal.
I hear Venus has won......Well done Venus!
Next door's cat is back. I suspect she thinks there will be easy
pickings. I do wish she wouldn't sleep in the food shed though, she
frightens the mice.
How de hum.
We have friends popping in for a meal and a natter this evening. What to
rustle up at short notice, and do I have wine to compliment pot luck?
Eeeny meeny miney mo.....Marks and Spencer's best or a touch of Tesco
bogof.
So what to have with beetroot?
