Yesterday I bought a new second hand bike, it cost 140 Euros and was
rubbish, so today I took it back and got a far better one, it cost 300 Euros
but I talked him down to 275 ($376), it is a real bobby dazzler, springed
saddle, loads of gears, and a nice low crossbar so I don't have to lift my
leg to high before falling off. I took a picture but I haven't got round to
buying a new digicam yet, maybe next week, so I had to take it with my
wireless webcam and it is a rubbish photo. But a smashing bike;-)

That looks like a good bike all right. I know you want stability, but I
hope you don't keep the saddle set too low. I see lotsa old flok who do.
Doing so makes peddling extremely difficult. Your knees need to nearly lock
straight open at the bottom of the pedal stroke. Riding is much easier
thataway....

I know, but sadly I am damaged goods and I must be able to touch the ground
and not just with my toes. If I have to stop it takes me lots of
concentration, and my balance is not good, it is quite a big bike, and I
always have the handlebars high to prevent back ache. I have once in a while
fallen off, more times than I have told here or to my Phyisio, so I am going...
