Just a thought

I just got a mail from an English friend and he said, "I really like that,
NOT".... I hate that. Maybe my English is not very good anymore, but I do
still try to speak it. And today an Englishwoman on this group said "Bless",
oh please! ......I have half a dozen more but I better keep them to myself,
oh BTW it is, "I couldn't care less".
Graham.

Uh-oh. I'd better weed that "not" construction out of my vocabulary.

Jean, you can "not" all the times you desire, though I don't like it. I was
talking to the English taking on silly American expressions ..... I don't
like that.

The first two don't bother me, but "I could care less" still grates on my
ears, too. Another annoying thing I've noticed lately is that a lot of
people say, "I want to go with" or "I want to be a part of." They leave off
the object verb. That drives me up the wall.
