Brrrrrr in North Texas

Who'd a thunk it? We have gone from having the windows open and the sunshine
coming in the windows to really cold. It is supposed to snow yes I said
snow here in the Dallas area tonight. I already have the fireplace lit, the
tea is made and the banana nut muffins are about ready to come out of the
oven. Ain't life grand? I love rainy days, I can do needlework, read and
bake all day. On sunny warm days, I'm outside messing around with flowers
and herbs. On hot days I'm in the pool. So a day like today is a real treat.
As someone once said, it doesn't take much to make me happy.
Hope everyone has a good day, no matter what the weather....

Sounds like you are all prepared for a lovely cozy evening. I love
stormy evenings, but not stormy days so much when I need to get out.

Same thing up here in OK, Peaches. 80F Saturday, went bike riding...then
below freezing today. My town had a tornado watch last night, and the wind
blew so strong it turned garbage cans into missiles. I was out in my front
yard this morning looking for shingles, didn't find any thank goodness.

I also love grey rainy/snowy days. I like being cozy warm and safe inside.
I'm cooking a big pot of cream of broccoli/cheese soup, and toying with the
idea of making a pan of oatmeal bars using raw oats, almonds, coconut
flakes, raisins and honey.

Nice to see you too Unca Bob. Yes I had a cozy, but busy day...am proudest
of the cleaned out hall closet, I can't walk past it without opening it to
admire my handiwork. My my, look at that I'll say...no more digging for
things. And I found a lost gift certificate card in an old gift bag!

Real Life has been challenging and busy. I have to catch up on my AFPF
reading, I hope you and yours are doing well.
