Why Africans Love Mugabe

[Written by a friend who travels regularly to African countries on
behalf of charitable foundations].

If you go to suburban Dar es Salaam you'll see Mugabe High School,
Mugabe Hotel and Mugabe Gardens. When you ask why these are so named,
they tell you it's just because he happened to officially open these...

My Mother's last poem, found after her death

Author: Bob G.
Date: May 4, 2008 19:57

I though you would enjoy this poem by my mother I found in an envelop
marked "My Last Poem, to be opened after my death." It is handwritten
and everything is as she wrote it. She was 82 when she died in 1999.

Dear Lord,

My time is drawing near
Don't let me walk this path alone -
You have so many Angels Lord
Send on to lead me safely home

Forgive me for my weaknesses
For tasks I may have left undone -
Hard words I may have spoken Lord
Words that hurt someone.

manner that implied it is any more racist than any other political
party? You surely understand that to the perpetual shame of us
Democrats...

Baghdad to get ‘DisneylandÂ’ style amusement park

Author: metspitzer

At the cost of nearly $500 million, a Los Angeles-based company is
“developing the Baghdad Zoo and Entertainment Experience, a massive
American-style amusement park that will feature a skateboard park,
rides, a concert theatre and a museum.” The park “is being designed by
the firm that developed Disneyland.” The company’s owner says “the
time is ripe” for profit and entertainment to collide in Iraq:
