Most people think husband and wife argue most over money or sex. Not
Betty and I. We argue over how full the dishwasher should be before we
run it.
When we remodeled the kitchen, she picked out a German made Miele
dishwasher that really is fantastic. It has a built in water softener
you add salt to except when the technician came out to set it up our
water tested only 1 part per million for hardness, so no salt. In fact
we have to add a chemical to the spa to make the water hard enough to
protect the workings. That soft water does not keep the water softener
people from selling water softeners to anyone who will buy them.

I have been having a busy time, which has also been a bit difficult too. I
have bilateral sciatica and there are tradesmen doing a wonderful job of a
bathroom renovation and of course, Roxy needs walks every day.
So I am marking all those posts as read and would ask that if anyone has
anything they want me to do, or ask me, please do so ... my address is
valid.
I shall try to do better although I am having a spinal cortisone injection
done on Wednesday, so may be out of action again for a while after that.

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill
Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did
not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good,
politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no
concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the
real world.
Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!
Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will
expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.
Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You
won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.
Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.
Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparent
s had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.
Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine
about your mistakes, learn from them.

Pakistan Muslim Workers "Kidnap" Christian Colleague
Saturday, 24 May 2008
By Jawad Mazhar, BosNewsLife Special Correspondent reporting from
Pakistan
Pakistan's North West Frontier Province has seen Islamic extremism.
Via New Statesman ATTOCK, PAKISTAN (BosNewsLife)-- Muslim workers at
an ammunition plant in Pakistan's tense North Western Frontier
Province apparently kidnapped their Christian colleague, after he
condemned anti-Christian remarks and allegedly responded with
"blasphemous" comments about Islam, fellow Christians and family
members told BosNewsLife.
The 22-year-old Danish Masih, who worked as a welder, dissapeared from
the factory in Gunjwal, a suburb of Attock city, on May 15, said his
cousin and local resident, Nazim Masih. Tensions rose earlier this
month when three of Danish Masih's Muslim co-workers "were teasing,
annoying and giving derogatory remarks about Christianity for four
days," his cousin said Saturday, May 24.

ENGLISH CROSS OF ST GEORGE FLAG DEEMED OFFENSIVE TO MUSLIMS
Recently, Ben Smith, an English football fan, decided to show his team
support by displaying the flag of England - the red St. George's Cross
- on his car. Mr. Smith was pulled over by police on a routine traffic
stop but the gist of the stop was far from "routine" --- or is it?
Ben was stunned to be told by the policeman that his Flag of England
was racist and "offensive to immigrants" and that he would be fined
$60 if he refused to remove it from view.
"Mr Smith, of Melksham, Wiltshire, said: “I honestly could not believe
what the police officer was saying. “He wasn’t rude about it at all.
He was just very matter-of-fact about the flag being racist and
offensive to immigrants.” Mr Smith, an avid England football fan, said
he used the flag to cover up a new set of speakers, which he wanted to
hide from would-be thieves He said: “I just thought he was joking and
started to laugh, but he looked at me very seriously and said that I
would have to pay a £30 on-the-spot fine if I refused. “It was really
strange and I drove home quite shocked.”

Gee, I'm worried I might get kill filed if I don't don't post the way
someone else demands. Hey, I could care less. I post what I want to
say and if you don't want to read it, don't. I pick and choose what I
read and I skim very fast. Gee it must take me all of 10 or 15 seconds
to scan a thread to see if I want to read it or not. You can tell from
the subject of what I write if you want to read it or not. You decide
if you want to respond or not. To demand that I enter a subject the
way you demand or else is a bully's tactic and I don't respond to
that. What you do with my posts is your affair. Read them or not but
don't tell me your way or the highway. I don't work that way. there
are obviously a number of members of this group who enjoy the give and
take of politics as well as baiting one...

the future; we expect some new disaster with

Just making a post I'll never see. :) _And_ for
those too thoughtless to add the "[POL]" I
will soon be adding Bush, Clinton, Obama, &
more to my killfile (to join the thoughtless
posters.)
If that doesn't do the trick, I'll killfile everybody.
k :)
