Some well known evangelicals have signed a manifesto criticising the
way faith is used in politics. Not all have signed. Dr Dobson is one
who did not.

We are having a chain link fence erected in our back yard so Shadow
can run to her heart's content. (Run with the wind, little angel!)
The fences in our neighborhood are all that silver color. We got a
black one. I think it looks elegant.

I think David is choking with laughter, though he knew enough to keep
a straight face. But I decided to decorate it a little bit. I can
get six foot length swags of silk flowers for $1 and I thought maybe I
would hang a couple of them on either side of a gate and I would get a
few of those kid's bright foil colored pin wheels and put the stick
through the top of the gate so the wheel is just on top of the bar and
they would spin and catch the sun.

Gee, when we have a patriotic holiday I can change the pinwheels for
little flags. :-)

Does anyone else decorate their fences besides Janie who paints
beautiful flowers on hers?

More than 80 percent of all capital gains income went to those making more
than $200,000 a year in 2006. Very few making under $50,000 would be
affected by any increase in the top capital gains rate.
"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace suggested that Sen. Barack Obama's
proposal to raise the rate would be a "substantial" tax increase on the
"middle class."

LONDON -- Britain's ruling Labour Party slumped to its worst local
election results in 40 years, leaving Prime Minister Gordon Brown in a
tight spot as he struggles to nurse a slowing economy.

Labour has lost more than 224 seats with the Conservatives, or Tories,
gaining 194, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation. BBC
research suggests Labour won 24%% of votes cast in England and Wales,
putting it in third place behind the Tories on 44%% and Liberal
Democrats on 25%%.

Mr. Brown said in a statement it had been a "bad" and "disappointing"
night for the party in the local elections and pledged to "learn the
lessons."
