Go to Goggle Earth and you can at see the American Catholic Military
Cemetery in just off the Grande Rue in Limey, France. The cemetery is well
kept, surrounded by farm land and close to the Belgium and German borders.
It is about a 5 hour drive from here. If it would be of any solace to your
dear Annie I will drive up there a place her name in the visitors book.
American Gardens of Remembrances do not allow flowers. This is not a French
cemetery the land is which the fallen Americans lie was a free gift and
sovereignty relinquished by the Republic of France to the American Republic.
Corporal Canipe lies in American soil. There is no record that I can find of
him or any Americans being exhumed and returned to the United States
All honour is due these men who paid with there blood so that we may live
free

looks on the faces of the staff were really funny but they didn't have
any idea what it was like to try and lay out in a bath and one's toes
did not reach the end of the bath and therefore I would go under!
Now Edward complains that he cannot lay out in the bath, shower I tell
him, shower.

Yep...fresh strawberries are in, in North Carolina. We go over to
Ingram's strawberry farm every Tueday morning and buy a couple gallons
(5# for $8.00) each week. Annie washes, caps, cuts, trick sugars and
puts them in the refrigerator. By Sunday they gone. I luv a life of
strawberries.

Herpes zoster, or shingles, affects thousands of people over the age of 50,
resulting in severe pain, scarring, and even deafness and blindness. Anyone
who has had chicken-pox as a child is at high risk of being afflicted. The
Merck Company, the sole supplier of the shingles vaccine, through its
Patient Assistance Program, is providing the vaccine free of charge to
qualified seniors.
However, due to an administrative wrinkle in the Merck program, county
health clincs, who provide immunizations to many low-income,uninsured
patients, are being excluded from this charity. It seems that Merck requires
providers to be private doctors while the county shot clinics are staffed
only by nurses.
This oversight is depriving many poor oldsters from receiving the shingles
vaccine, placing them at risk.
I urge you to ask The Merck Company how they can claim to assist low-income,
uninsured patients, yet deny them access to county immunization clinics.
Then, contact your newspaper and TV stations and tell them about it. Just
another example of how our inadequate healthcare system denies care to the
most needy.

Since modern man is unnatural by definition, it is impossible to
persuade one into a primitive belief, such as in the real sky above
our heads. For modern superstition, the sky is in the computer. This...

I hope he learned a lesson.

I think he saw Steve Irwin and others do this. You NEVER do this to a
gator if you aren't highly trained....Steve didn't even do it unless
he has spotters around him to help him.
Alligators are extremely strong and this deputy is lucky to be alive.
This gator could have been saved. It didn't need to be shot. But,the
deputy's life was in danger after the gator shook him off.
What do you do if you see a gator? RUN and call in the experts.

I was looking through a book of trivia and came across an entry that
said that the coldest inhabited spot on earth was Oymyakon, Siberia
where it has reached -95 F. Why would anyone want to live in an area
so cold? Could any gasoline engine or battery work at such
temperatures? You certainly would not need to have a freezer to keep
ice cream.
