I neglect checking the newsgroup for a few days and look what happens.

Things are pretty quiet at this end. Just this evening we have the
first dusting of snow that may last until morning. Not that I'm
complaining about good driving conditions and not-so-cold temperatures.
Getting used to the two new kitties, as they are getting used to us.
They are proving to be quite lovable, but still don't have names. They
won't tell us their names ... Tomorrow they will be introduced to torsk
(cod) with butter sauce. We decided to be un-traditional for
Thanksgiving dinner this year.

Is this a typo or a turn of phrase I hadn't heard before? "Commit a
novel"? Sounds like committing a felony--for the life of me I'm unable
to come up with a more flattering comparison right now. I think my
brain is still running in neutral.

My ISP keeps a pretty clean news server too. I had to go to Google
Groups to see what you were speaking of. Obviously someone else with
way too much time on their hands. I've been astonished by the email
spam volumes too. My ISP also has a nice spam trap for email, but I
have to go and periodically clean it out. It is rather like cleaning
out a drain. I'm seeing upwards of 200 spams *a day* now.
On the other side, the tech support contact numbers for my ISP seem to
have disappeared, and I'm unable to log in to update my website. The
email query goes unanswered. I last updated middle of last month, and
I've paid my bill, so I have no clue what they're (not) doing.

Which class is this?
