Well, I tend to find that other people's cookie assortments just
don't have enough kinds of shortbread for my taste, so here we have, um,
butter, ginger, lemon, orange, chocolate, brown sugar, oatmeal-
and-cranberry . . . plus some macaroons and some of those chocolate
chunk things . . .

Reality itself is overrated--I'd much rather live in a fantasy world.
Magical research has always sounded much more interesting than my
career options in the local multiverse. ;P

I suppose all that relentless mundanity that surrounds me has to go
somewhere . . .

Hopefully not *all* of them are in the elevator--it would be a tight fit . . .

As of fifteen minutes ago, it's finished. (Spell-checking it was an
especial pain in the arse--I had to continually go to my paper
dictionary to check archaic usages and unusual spellings. And the
results probably aren't one hundred percent consistent even so. And
the only thing worse than writing from the point of view of a character
who speaks pseudo-Elizabeathan is having to deal with his girlfriend's
weird vaguely-pseudo-Scottish peasant dialect . . . Well, at least it's
done, and I don't suppose those characters will ever be dropping in to
bother me again. Their kid, maybe . . .)

Geez, and the temperature around here right now is even above freezing.
All day, too! What more can you ask for? ;P
