Take a look at Wilson's Espionage and Sedition acts, and Roosevelt's
incarceration of thousands of American citizens in concentration camps

Good call. Of course, you mention two Presidents who were in office
during World Wars, not that is any excuse. What it does show, though,
is that fear is a bad way to run a nation. Fear makes our politicians
do some very wrong things.
