..A plan to show some alleged Iranian-supplied explosives to
journalists last week in Karbala and then destroy them was canceled
after the United States realized none of them was from Iran. A U.S.
military spokesman attributed the confusion to a misunderstanding that
emerged after an Iraqi Army general in Karbala erroneously reported
the items were of Iranian
origin.

IRAN'S WEAPONS..Tina Susman of the LA Times reports that Iranian
involvement in Iraq's civil war may not be everything it's been
cracked up to be:

There was something interesting missing from Maj. Gen. Kevin
Bergner's introductory remarks to journalists at his regular news
briefing in Baghdad on Wednesday: the word "Iran," or any form of it.
It was especially striking as Bergner, the U.S. military spokesman
here, announced the extraordinary list of weapons and munitions that
have been uncovered in recent weeks since
fighting erupted between Iraqi and U.S. security forces and Shiite
militiamen.

When U.S. explosives experts went to investigate, they discovered they
were not Iranian after all.

Ater the win in North Carolina, Barack Obama fulminated about what the
victory meant for America. On foreign policy, Obama said, it was a
recognition that the US should talk to its enemies, in the same manner
as FDR, Truman, and Kennedy did. At the time, I noted the strange
claim and its complete ignorance of history, and today, Jack Kelly
continues the history lesson for a constitutional scholar who clearly
skipped 20th-century history:
I assume the Roosevelt to whom Sen. Obama referred is Franklin D.
Roosevelt. Our enemies in World War II were Nazi Germany, headed by
Adolf Hitler; fascist Italy, headed by Benito Mussolini, and
militarist Japan, headed by Hideki Tojo. FDR talked directly with none
of them before the outbreak of hostilities, and his policy once war
began was unconditional surrender.

FDR died before victory was achieved, and was succeeded by Harry
Truman. Truman did not modify the policy of unconditional surrender.
He ended that war not with negotiation, but with the atomic bomb.
Harry Truman also was president when North Korea invaded South Korea
in June, 1950. President Truman’s response was not to call up North
Korean dictator Kim Il Sung for a chat. It was to send troops.
Perhaps Sen. Obama is thinking of the meeting FDR and Churchill had
with Soviet dictator Josef Stalin in Tehran in December, 1943, and the
meetings Truman and Roosevelt had with Stalin at Yalta and Potsdam in
February and July, 1945. But Stalin was then a U.S. ally, though one
of whom we should have been more wary than FDR and Truman were. Few
historians think the agreements reached at Yalta and Potsdam, which in
effect consigned Eastern Europe to slavery, are diplomatic models we
ought to follow. Even fewer Eastern Europeans think so.
When Stalin’s designs became unmistakably clear, President Truman’s
response wasn’t to seek a summit meeting. He sent military aid to
Greece, ordered the Berlin airlift and the Marshall Plan, and sent
troops to South Korea.

Given the importance that Obama places on this approach to foreign
policy — he seldom fails to mention it as an example of the “change”
he’ll bring to Washington — one wonders why the media hasn’t pressed
him on this rationalization. Obama isn’t merely saying that he’ll
reinstitute diplomatic relations with Iran, which would emulate our
relations with the Nazis and the Japanese prior to Pearl Harbor. Obama
wants to have meetings without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,
who has publicly spoken of his desire to annihilate a key ally of the
US, as well as Hugo Chavez, Raul Castro, and any number of thugs and
tyrants. When did FDR, Truman, and Kennedy do that? Answer: never.
As I pointed out on Wednesday, even diplomatic contact didn’t help FDR
with Japan and Germany. The Japanese used diplomatic negotiations as a
stalling maneuver to get its Imperial Navy in place to destroy our
Pacific Fleet in 1941. Our diplomatic relations with the Nazis only
encouraged America Firsters and Nazi sympathizers like Charles
Lindbergh to claim that Hitler had no animus towards the West and that
he could be a bulwark against Bolshevism.

Maybe Obama could ask the Czechs how well unconditional talks worked
for them during Munich. Neville Chamberlain insisted on holding peace
talks to avoid war in Czechoslovakia, which could have defended itself
as long as it held the fortifications in the Sudetenland long enough
for Britain and France to beat Germany from the rear. Instead,
Chamberlain carved up Czechoslovakia without its permission, and six
months afterward, Hitler swallowed the rest of it whole. FDR,
meanwhile, remained steadfastly neutral diplomatically until 1939,
when he began clandestine support for the UK.

Negotiations with tyrants almost always leads to appeasement, which
only postpones war until the tyrant is strong enough to wage it most
effectively. It results in many more deaths and far more destruction
because it gives the initiative and the timing to the tyrants, while
building their credibility at home. William Shirer noted that the
Germans were astounded when Hitler repeatedly bluffed the West during
the years from 1935 to 1939, figuring each bluff would be called and
Hitler destroyed as a political force. By the time he rolled into
Poland unopposed except by the outmatched Poles, who expected actual
military assistance from Britain and France, Germans would follow
Hitler anywhere, convinced of his invincibility.

That’s what Obama’s “new approach” to foreign policy promises. It’s
Neville Chamberlain without the umbrella. It certainly isn’t FDR or
Truman.

If you're a foreigner it's FINE if you sneak into the USA, engage in
a massive crime wave, bankrupt hardworking Americans' hospitals,
destroy the nation's schools, ruin the budgets of one state after
another and spew out one gangbanging, Mexican-flag-waving anchor baby
after another.

Heck, the government will even REWARD you with welfare, Food Stamps,
free health care (million dollar surgeries included!), subsidized
housing, Affirmative Action preferences.

But GOD FORBID you're a U.S. citizen and your daughter, now an adult
with a baby, had a teenage truancy problem and now fails her math test

Huh? Daughter fails math test, so dad thrown in jail

Pop gets 6-month sentence for contributing to delinquency

Monday, May 12, 2008

A northern Kentucky man is in jail today – serving a 180-day sentence
– because his 18-year-old daughter failed a math test and didn't get
her General Equivalency Diploma, or GED, as a previous court order
required.

Brittany Gegner, the daughter, says if anyone should be jailed, it
should be her.

"It's like I should, if anybody should be punished for this," Brittany
told WCPO-TV in Cincinnati. "I would way rather me go to jail than my
dad."

Even Brian Gegner's ex-wife agrees the judge's decision is absurd.

"They probably should have punished me if they were going to punish
anybody," said Brittany's mother Shana Roach. "Because she did live
with me at the time, but because he had the custody, that's why he's
being punished. But I don't understand the punishment altogether
because she's going to school, she's been going for four months. The
only thing that's holding her back is she can't pass her math test."

Butler County Juvenile Court Judge David Niehaus ordered Gegner to
jail for contributing to the delinquency of a minor by not following a
court order which required Gegner to be sure his daughter got her GED.

"It's ridiculously wrong," said Brittany.

"Of all the punishments they could have given him, to make him go to
jail?" she asked. "I mean, probation – until I get my GED – would be
reasonable, but to send him to jail? That's overboard."

The problems began when Brittany was 16 and started skipping classes
at Fairfield High School and then, Butler Tech.

Though Brian Gegner had custody of her, Brittany says it was while she
lived with her mother that she was truant.

"I'm about to be 19 and my dad's being punished for something I did
when I was 16," she said.

Brittany has a daughter who's about 18-months-old. She says she's
determined to pass the GED for her daughter – and her father.

The judge says if she passes the test, her father could get out of
jail before his six-months sentence is up.

Brittany's stepmother worries the time in jail will ruin their family.
She says he could lose the job he's worked for 15 years.

"I never dreamed they would put him in jail for this – for six months
– it's crazy," said Stephanie Gegner, Brittany's stepmother.

"He has no control over what his adult daughter does," she said. "He
just doesn't."

Court administrators say that even though Brittany is an adult now,
the case remains active in their court because she was a juvenile when
the problems started.

What Would America's Founding Fathers Do?

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents,

Deport 30 Million Aliens - Give Jobs To Americans
Hoover And Eisenhower Both Did It

From Mark
5-11-8

I looked it up, and sure enough it is there. In 1954, why don't we
remember this?

I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me. Back during the
Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of
all illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American
citizens that desperately needed work, and then again in 1954,
President Dwight Eisenhower deported 1.3 million Mexican nationals!
The program was called "Operation "Wetback" so that American WWII and
Korean veterans had a better chance at jobs. It took 2 years, but they
deported them.

Now, if they could deport the illegals back then, they can sure do it
today.

If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter
Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for
yourself. Reminder, don't forget to pay your taxes, 12 million illegal
aliens are depending on you!

A powerful federal arts commission is urging that the sculpture of
Martin Luther King Jr. proposed for a memorial on the Tidal Basin be

political art in totalitarian states.

Called the Stone of Hope, it would depict King, standing with his arms
folded, looming from the stone. At 28 feet tall, it would be eight
feet taller than the statue of Abraham Lincoln in the Lincoln
Memorial.

FBI Agent: 'Sonny Bono Was Clubbed To Death'

Sonny BonoSonny Bono was clubbed to death by hired hitmen, according
to a stunning new tabloid expose. An investigator who has been
researching Bono's 1998 fatal skiing accident for the past decade
claims top officials linked to an international drug and weapons ring
feared the singer-turned-politician was about to expose their criminal
acts - and so they had him killed on the slopes.

Cher's ex-husband Bono's death was listed as a "skiing accident" with
family and friends satisfied he died after colliding with a tree on
the piste in Nevada in January 1998.

But former FBI agent Ted Gunderson tells America's Globe that there's
more to the tragedy than meets the eye, after studying the autopsy
reports and other evidence.

He says, "It's nonsense for anyone to now try to suggest that Bono
died after crashing into a tree. There's zero evidence in this autopsy
report... to show such an accident happened. Instead, there's powerful
proof he (Bono) was assassinated. This was an evil plot that was
carried out to almost perfection by ruthless assassins."

Gunderson tells the Globe that Bono, an experienced skiier, was
ambushed on the slopes by hired hitmen, who beat him to death and then
staged a tree collision.

The retired FBI agent is now calling for the authorities to exhume
Bono's remains and open a homicide investigation.

Gunderson's efforts have been backed by top forensics experts, who
fear Nevada authorities were too quick to mark the tragedy as a skiing
accident, and investigator Bob Fletcher, who has confessed he sent
evidence of a 10-year study that linked top U.S. government officials
to arms and weapons dealers to Bono less than a month before his
death.

Fletcher says, "He was going to make it his number one priority...
There's no doubt in my mind Sonny was murdered by someone who needed
him silenced."

Tonight on Coast to Coast, a man came forward with a story. He said
his company had been highjacked to import drugs from South America,
and in turn, arms were sent to the region to fight the communists
sprouting up in Angola.

He wrote up the entire documented plan and sent it to Sonny Bono after
his company was taken from him. Reportedly, Congressman Sonny Bono
was going to begin an investigation into this scheme that cost the
reporter not only his business, but $250,000 in cash.

After Sonny was found dead from what was reportedly a skiing accident,
the man who lost his business began his own investigation into Sonny's
death. He said that the autopsy reports showed a damaged skull that
had only a small "45 caliber barrel" indentation on the "temple"
region of Sonny's head. And, Sonny did not put up his hand to try to
stop the impact of the tree he reportedly slammed into. Other factors
in the autopsy suggest too that Sonny was not killed by an impact with
a tree. One aspect of the report states that Sonny was skiing on a
flat region of the mountain. He was not going down hill at 30mph as
we were told originally.

The author of this story who lost his business said that his contacts
in Sonny's office would not return his call after Sonny's death though
he had gone to dinner with them many times while in D.C. That begin
his suspicion that Sonny Bono had been murdered because of the fact he
was about break open this story and begin an investigation that would
have made the Iran / Contra investigation look like a day in the park.

See Coast to Coast AM's website for all the details.

Pure bunk. Summer is coming on. Each Spring, the ice begins to thaw
in the arctic just as it does in the antarctic when we experience
winter in America, it is summer in the southern hemisphere.

I watch a map of all ice zones in the arctic each day. I see how much
ice there is, and I see that yes, the last ice to freeze is the first
ice to thaw but that makes perfect sense. And, the amount of ice this
year is not more, but far less than in previous years that remains on
the North Pole / Arctic Zone due to the cooling effect of ZERO
sunspots.

You might recall that just a week ago or so, there was an article out
that described our cooling as a ten to eleven year temporary window in
the global warming trend. The scientists involved said that this was
a normal cycle of cooling. And many said that if we have normal cycles
of cooling, don't we have normal cycles of warming afterward?

So much of the bunk about global warming is an attempt by non
scientists like algore, and scientists who seek federal funding to
fool the public. Algore's crowd seeks to turn the world into a wealth
redistribution scheme under a central socialist government.
Scientists seeking federal funding know that if they want to get said
funding, they must write supportive articles stating that global
warming is in fact real. Conversely, scientists who speak against
the flat earth mentality of global warming are heretics that will
likely not find funding for their next research project.

Japan scientists warn Arctic ice melting fast
Mon May 12, 2008 12:51am EDT

TOKYO (Reuters) - Arctic ice is melting fast and the area covered by
ice sheets in ocean could shrink this summer to the smallest since
1978 when satellite observation first started, Japanese scientists
warned in a report.

Ice sheets in the Arctic Ocean shrank to the smallest area on record
in late summer in 2007, researchers at the Japan Aerospace Exploration
Agency said in a report on the website (http://www.eorc.jaxa.jp/
imgdata/topics/2008/tp080430.html).

"The sea ice in the Arctic Ocean has continued to shrink since the
beginning of April in such momentum to approach last year's levels,"
they said in the report based on an analysis of satellite images.

The area covered with perennial ice in the Arctic Ocean has receded
"drastically" in recent years, falling to nearly half the area
observed in 2005, they said.

"The reduction of areas covered with perennial ice means the overall
ice in the Arctic Ocean is thinner and thinner year after year," the
report added.

The researchers made no mention of human-fueled climate change that
could be blamed for thinner Arctic ice.

The conservation group WWF said last month that Arctic ice may be
melting faster than most climate change science has concluded.

WWF said that climate change has already affected all aspects of
ecology in the Arctic, including the region's oceans, sea ice, ice
sheets, snow and permafrost.
