"House GOP challenges Pelosi for gas price plan

House Republican leaders on Tuesday challenged Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-
Calif.) to release a plan to lower gas prices that they say Democrats
touted when they were in the minority.

“Two years ago this week, you stated that House Democrats had a
‘commonsense plan’ to ‘lower gas prices,’ ” the letter said. “In light
of the skyrocketing gasoline prices affecting working families and
every sector of our struggling economy, we are writing today to
respectfully request that you reveal this ‘commonsense plan’ so we can
begin work on responsible solutions to help ease this strain.”

The letter is signed by Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio),
Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), Conference Chairman Adam Putnam (R-
Fla.), Policy Chairman Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.) as well as other
members of leadership: Reps. Kay Granger (R-Texas), John Carter (R-
Texas), Tom Cole (R-Okla.) and Eric Cantor (R-Va.). "

This is no joke. Big Oil is working with OPEC as you have seen over
the past month to limit production of oil in OPEC countries which
forces the price up tremendously. Now, BIG OIL is telling Americans
that they have decided to double the price of a barrel in the nest few
years. Imagine paying 8 dollars per gallon, and 9 for diesel, and the
incredible impact this will have on the entire US economy! If you
think economics are bad now, just wait. And, the lower life forms
around us will resort to much more crime as they already have begun to
do.
Will America ever return to the good old days of $1.25 per gallon
gasoline? Will we ever return to plenty of food and trucker drivers
for delivery who are not destroyed by the price of diesel?

Self-Inflicted Confusion

After Barack Obama’s defeat in Pennsylvania, David Axelrod, his
campaign manager, brushed it off: “Nothing has changed tonight in the
basic physics of this race.”

He may well be right — but what a comedown. A few months ago the Obama
campaign was talking about transcendence. Now it’s talking about math.
“Yes we can” has become “No she can’t.”

This wasn’t the way things were supposed to play out.

Mr. Obama was supposed to be a transformational figure, with an almost
magical ability to transcend partisan differences and unify the
nation. Once voters got to know him — and once he had eliminated
Hillary Clinton’s initial financial and organizational advantage — he
was supposed to sweep easily to the nomination, then march on to a
huge victory in November.

Yet another lie that she hoped nobody would remember. Both of these
parties are useless when it comes to energy policy, one is as bad as
the other. Until they put the needs of their special interests away,
we will continue to be slaves to Middle East oil.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former FBI Director Louis Freeh on Sunday accused
former President Bill Clinton of ditching the investigation into the
1996 bombing of a U.S. barracks in Saudi Arabia to pursue better
relations with Iran.

In an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes," Freeh said Clinton failed to
seek Saudi cooperation with the investigation into the Khobar Towers
attack, which killed 19 U.S. airmen. He said Clinton instead pressed
then-Crown Prince Abdullah, now king, for a donation to his
presidential library -- a charge the former president's spokesman and
a former adviser told CBS was false.

"I was very disappointed that the political leadership in the United
States would tell the families of these 19 heroes that we were going
to leave no stone unturned and find the people who killed them, to
give that order to the director -- because that's the order that I got
-- and then do nothing to assist and facilitate that investigation,
and, in fact, to undermine it," Freeh said.

Hillary bitch-slapped Hussein last night. That was expected, but not
the extent of the bruising. Of course a lot of his contusions were
self-inflicted. Barack Obama note to self: Never pee on somebody’s leg
before you ask for their vote... unless you’re in San Francisco, and
then it’s considered customary to ask first.

It’s not like nobody saw it coming. There are a lot of religious
people who own guns, who just can’t bring themselves to vote for a
Republican. Obama handed their votes to Clinton immediately prior to
the vote. But he is after all, from Chicago where politicians hold non-
criminal gunowners in the same high regard that chitlin salesmen are
held in Mecca. It was only natural that he display contempt for people
for whom he has contempt.

Communists have cream-of-the-crop leaders hand-picked by the
intellectual elite. You'll never see an idiot like Bush leading a
Communist nation.

Under democracy, every idiot is allowed to vote. Idiots elect idiots.

Sometimes twice.
