The McCain family is basically fake. John, the doddery old war-victim
accuses Obama of being elitist, which is funny considering he has six
houses while Obama worked for years organising unemployed workers at a
salary of $15,000. Now his wife is revealed as a copyright thief, stealing
puke-inducing recipes like turkey-sausages and pasta from the Food Network
website.
Voters already know McCain struggles with knowledge of the middle east and
thinks tax cuts pay for themselves. But would you buy a used recipe from
this family?

Op-Ed Columnist
Crisis of Confidence
By PAUL KRUGMAN
The Survey Research Center of the University of Michigan has been tracking
American economic perceptions since the 1950s. On Friday the center released
its latest estimate of the consumer sentiment index ‹ and it was a stunner.
Americans are more pessimistic about their situation than they have been for
more than a quarter century.
Meanwhile, a recent Pew report found that the percentage of Americans saying
that they¹re better off than they were five years ago is at its lowest level
in 44 years of polling.
What¹s striking about this bleak mood is that by the usual measures the
economy isn¹t doing that badly ‹ at least not yet. In particular, the
official unemployment rate of 5.1 percent, though rising, is still fairly
low by historical standards. Yet economic attitudes are worse now than they
were in 1992, when the average unemployment rate was 7.5 percent.
Why are we feeling so down?

How Epidemics Helped Shape the Modern Metropolis
By JOHN NOBLE WILFORD
On a Sunday in July 1832, a fearful and somber crowd of New Yorkers gathered
in City Hall Park for more bad news. The epidemic of cholera, cause unknown
and prognosis dire, had reached its peak.
People of means were escaping to the country. The New York Evening Post
reported, ³The roads, in all directions, were lined with well-filled
stagecoaches, livery coaches, private vehicles and equestrians, all
panic-struck, fleeing the city, as we may suppose the inhabitants of Pompeii
fled when the red lava showered down upon their houses.²
An assistant to the painter Asher B. Durand described the scene near the
center of the outbreak. ³There is no business doing here if I except that
done by Cholera, Doctors, Undertakers, Coffinmakers, &c,² he wrote. ³Our
bustling city now wears a most gloomy & desolate aspect ‹ one may take a
walk up & down Broadway & scarce meet a soul.²

Rape is rape. Sex is sex. Age doesn't matter. The state doesn't
have to recognize marriage until it wants to. All the girls should be
given birth control options, and information on a way out, to call a
number, that they will have room and board off the compound so they
can get an education and get jobs. Some of the girls may actively
consent and love their husbands. They may want to live on the
compound in their society and raise children. They should only be
moved away if that is what they want.
The only crime that should be prosecuted is actual rape - and that is,
only if the victims - the minors themselves - _want_ to press charges
of rape. Anything else is tyranny, wrong and evil.

Polygamy: More than one spouse.
Monogamy: One spouse - So if you're not married, -- [you're not
technically] -- monogamous.
Polyandry: More than one husband.
Monandry: One husband.
Polygyny: More than one wife.
Monogyny: One wife.
Bigamy: the criminal offense of marrying one person while still
legally married to another.
Trigamy: Having 3 spouses at one time (17th-19th Century England)*
From the modern legal perspective, Trigamy has been viewed as two
counts of Bigamy.
Polygamy should be legalized and we should be allowed to choose as
many spouses as we please. We should be allowed to form bigger
families than just two people and children.
Men should be allowed to have two or three wives if they want. Or
five or six or seven.
Women should be allowed to have two or three husbands if they want.
Or five or six or seven.

The difference between child rape and child consentual sex is the
difference between night and day. While rape is the worst thing in
the world, sex is the the best thing in the world. Some pedophiles
love children and have consentual giving sex with them. Some rapists,
force children and brutally rape and terrorize them. The difference
is as distinct as the difference between rape and sex is in adults.
Rape is one of the worst things in the world. Sex is one of the best
things in the world. In between the two is date (like) rape. Sex
with children should be legal at any age if it is consentual. Rape of
people should be illegal at any age.
Sometimes minors may think that adults are a sort of authority and
that they have to obey. Given this can be the case, perhaps a
requirement for any sort of sexual activity between adults and minors...

Wal-Mart to film gun sales in bid to fight crime
Mon Apr 14, 2008 4:06pm EDT
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc, the world's largest retailer,
unveiled plans on Monday to film its gun sales in the United States and
create a computerized log of purchases in a bid to stop guns falling into
the wrong hands.
Wal-Mart, which is the largest seller of firearms in the United States,
agreed a 10-point code, which also includes rigid inventory controls,
with a bipartisan coalition of Mayors Against Illegal Guns led by New
York's Michael Bloomberg.
The retailer said it will develop a first-of-its-kind computerized crime
gun trace log that will flag purchases by customers who have previously
bought guns later recovered in crimes.
"Wal-Mart currently uses a strong point of sale system," said J.P.
Suarez, senior vice president and chief compliance officer of Wal-Mart.
"This code is a way for us to fine-tune the things we're already doing
and further strengthen our standards. We hope other retailers will join
us."
