Wall Street Reels From Populist Obama, Huckabee Victories In Iowa

Author: Ali Nader
Date: Jan 4, 2008 14:06

The Dow Jones index and Canada's TSX suffered triple digit losses
today as two anti-business, high tax politicians won victories in Iowa
last night. Both Barak Hussein Obama and Mike Huckabee are anti-
capitalists who threaten to kill the goose that lays the golden eggs--
free enterprise. There has been steady growth of the U.S. economy over
the past six years. But with almost every speech, the young, callow
Obama, like Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, threatens to raise taxes
especially on the successful class which he implies are the evil rich.
Oviously he doen't understand how capitalism works. How could he? He
has no experience in the business world. Huckabee as Arkansas'
governor never saw a tax increase he didn't like.

Both were criticized tonight on Neil Cavuto's business hour by
Republican candidate Fred Thompson who called their economic threats
"nutty" and irresponsible. Thompson said as president there is no
situation where he would consider a tax hike as American already has
the second highest business tax rate in the G-8.

In addition to mental images of many of the rightard regulars around here
(and they are not pretty mental images by an stretch of the imagination!)
I've formed impressions about what some of them must sound like.

Here's a partial list:

McCain Suggests Lieberman As Possible Secretary Of Defense

liebmc.jpg In his semi-weekly blogger conference call today, Sen. John
McCain (R-AZ) heaped praise upon Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT), who has
endorsed McCain’s GOP presidential bid.

McCain told the bloggers that he would like Lieberman to serve in his
administration:

I would definitely want Joe Lieberman to play a part — particularly in
national security issues — in my administration.

Commenting on RedState, Adam C — who was also on the conference call —
said that McCain’s comment indicated that the senator was considering
Lieberman to head of the Pentagon:

“That sounds like a possible SecDef to me.”

McCain and Lieberman have been foreign policy soulmates, consistently
pushing for sending more troops to Iraq.

  Why Hillary lost...

Author: Crescentius Vespasianus
Date: Jan 4, 2008 13:56

A very malignant strain of extremisim has infected the Democrat Party,
that really showed itself with the trouncing of Hillary in Iowa. This
cancer was propagadated cultivated carefully by the news media to bash
Bush, but it has now grown beyond their control, and it is now killing
the host. This fanatacism has moved on.org from the Clinton's, and
from simply surrendering in Iraq. They have much bigger goals such as
total unilateral disarmament, and redirection of 90%% from the military
budget to Obama's 5 year social engineering schemes that will
undermine capitalism and private property and substitute socialism and
community property. If you have a big house, you may be forced to
accept another family into your home, that has no home. What will be
interesting is if Hollywood Democrats will try to get an exemption
for their mansions, as there is enough room to house 10 families in
some of those mansions. This would be done in the names of social and
economic justice. Federal workers and school teachers, will be forced
to also work in the fields as farm laborers, in order to keep food
production up from confiscated farms. Illegal immigrants will be
given instant citizenship with full rights to the full benefits of the
welfare state, the second they make it across the border and into the
USA. Gasoline will be rationed, according to whether the gasoline ...

Will Paul ask his supporters to back Obama like Kucinich did?

Author: The Countess
Date: Jan 4, 2008 13:52

I think Ron Paul should strongly consider this at this time.

what is his chance of winning any primaries?

Faux news has virtually censored him. 10%% of the vote is nothing.

they want pro-war Republicans folks. if you're against the war go with
Obama.

just remember this, Hilary VOTED for the invasion into Iraq. she's not the
best choice for
the Dems either.

what do you think would happen if she gets elected president, hmm?
