Not too difficult to figure out. She's right about Mitt being the best qualified GOP
candidate so, of course, the media will come out against him. As for Huckabee being
the worst GOP candidate, no surprise the media is touting him....they want the worst
to be the nominee....AAC

> This from the conservatives who supported segregation,>

Actually, it was the Democrats who were the segregationists - which is
why Martin Luther King was a Republican. Bull Connor, George Wallace,
Lester Maddox, the Dixiecrats - all Democrats. Woodrow Wilson,
beloved Democrat President, had multi screenings of pro KKK film "The
Birth of A Nation" in the White House - and publicly proclaimed it the
finest film ever made: "Like writing history with lightening" (great
line, BTW). Democrat FDR rounded up every Japanese American and
shipped them to work camps during WWII - for their "own good", of
course.
Which brings us up to racism today. A while back, when challenged to
present examples of modern Republican racism, you offered a fourteen
year old newspaper article which discussed the Republicans support...

Do you have any idea how to check IPs and article numbers? If you
did, you'd know that your "phantom" is not me at all. I see the phony
now, apologize for banging on you directly, but you need to be sure
before you start shooting your mouth off.
I'm pretty sure (as it is in 90%% of "hijacking" cases) that the
hijacker is a regular in here who's gotten either another NNTP account
or is/was using an anonymizer. He's also quite mentally ill and a
"serial poster," common with whack jobs on the right.
"Mentally ill?" On Usenet? Perish the thought!

Bush will tell you that his policies, economic and otherwise, are an
expression of his unending admiration and attempt to emulate Reagan.
And he's not kidding: it is utterly beyond belief that there are millions
of Americans who want to rank Reagan as among the great presidents of
history, alongside the likes of FDR, Lincoln, Washington, Jefferson,
Madison, and so on. Reagan, at best, will rank as an average president,
and some will argue that he is below average when the final judgment is
entered that "supply-side/trickle-upon economics" is an unmitigated
disaster, and his failures outweigh his one-and-a-half achievements (the
INF treaty and his personal rapport with Gorbachev in getting the latter
to think about reforming the Soviet state).
Is Reagan head-and-shoulders above the criminal now in the White House?
Without question! But that's much like saying that gonorrhea is better
than a positive HIV status.

In one of six letters sent to Stewart, Castagana included a lewd photo
of dead tsunami victim captioned, "Fuck your wife."
"Compulsive" Republican's Head Examined
Psych review for felon who mailed threats to Olbermann, Stewart
JANUARY 15--The California man (and self-described "compulsive"
Republican voter) who sent threatening letters containing a white
powder to a variety of public figures he thought were too liberal is
being examined by a court-appointed psychiatrist in advance of his
sentencing on 14 felony counts.
Chad Castagana, 40, was convicted last year of mailing the letters
during a two-month period in late-2006. The missives, sent from
Woodland Hills, contained either baking soda, laundry detergent, or
Ajax, substances that apparently were meant to be mistaken for anthrax
or another deadly agent.
As seen in the government trial exhibits on the following pages,
Castagana sent threats to, among others, Keith Olbermann, Jon Stewart,
media mogul Sumner Redstone, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

As new reports are emerging about vote-counting problems and potential
conflicts of interest regarding handling of ballots, a Democratic
congressman has introduced new legislation that would make it easier
for states to audit their election results.
Rep. Rush Holt's bill was introduced the same day that Maryland voters
learned the security of their electronic voting machines would be
entrusted to a high-profile Republican operative, and as activists
were documenting irregularities in last week's New Hampshire primary.
Brad Friedman, who has been following the New Hampshire primary vote
recount reports his latest findings of problems being disovered with
the Diebold machines:
