You gotta wonder what those UN observers saw that they
had to be eliminated.
After repeatedly being shelled and contacting the Israelis
to stop shelling them, the Israeli Airforce dropped a
precision bomb right on them. When other, equally unarmed
UN observers went to try and rescue them, they were
attacked as well.

They should have stayed away from military targets.

Here is a link to a Washington Post article on this subject.

1. It appears that the UN outpost was struck by accident.
2. When you put outposts in war zones, you should not be surprised when you are
attacked.
3. This is the time for Israel to completely destroy Hezbollah and Hamas.
4. The best thing for the UN to do is to stay out of the way.

This post is such an overstated, exaggerated, biased reporting of what is
being reported as what happened that you should be ashamed to have it live
on in a newsgroup in perpetuity.
There is no news report ANYWHERE which substantiates anything stated in this
post other than that a UN outpost was bombed (by a single bomb).
It's not clear to whom this post is attributed to, but what is clear is the
OP's prejudicial bias. Shame, shame. Things in the world are bad enough
without morons adding their own cynical twists to events.

LIAR.
From the BBC:
Israel troops 'ignored' UN plea
Israel had hit Khiam a number of times earlier on Tuesday
UN peacekeepers in south Lebanon contacted Israeli troops 10 times
before an Israeli bomb killed four of them, an initial UN report says.
The post was hit by a precision-guided missile after six hours of
shelling, diplomats familiar with the probe say.
