If there's one thing the Republican party hates it's numbers.
Republicans are like those little green things that grow under your toe

toe-nail fungus. If you expose a Republican to honest numbers, they'll
do anything they can to avoid the subject or change the subject.
Usually, they change the subject to something irrelevant or they cut
and paste some propaganda or they blame the Democrats or they fall back
on something Orwell called "Bellyfeel". Republicans love Bellyfeel.
With Bellyfeel, you can never be proven wrong and it doesn't require
any actual work or thinking.

that show that by the time Bush leaves office, he will have increased
the national debt by about $4.3 trillion, which is almost double what
it was when he took office. When Reagan took office, the national debt
was 32.6%% of GDP. By the time Bush leaves office, it will be about
69.3%% of GDP. While Clinton was in office he reduced the national debt,
relative to GDP, by about 6%%. The National debt is now increasing at an
average of $1.48 billion per day:
