2 sentenced in '97 Chiapas massacre
Associated Press
February 28, 2008
SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, Mexico -- A Mexican judge has sentenced two
brothers to 26 years in prison for their participation in the 1997
massacre of 45 men, women and children in southern Chiapas state.
Brothers Antonio and Mariano Pucuj were also ordered to pay more than
$70,000 in compensation to the victims' families, the human rights group
Fray Bartolome de las Casas said Wednesday.
Karla Banos, a spokeswoman for state prosecutors, said the Pucuj
brothers are appealing the judge's decision.
Pro-government villagers armed with guns and machetes killed the 45 on
Dec. 22, 1997 in an incident known as the Acteal massacre for the town
where it occurred.

No, no, nothing to do with the Cuban revolution, which is full of
hardship and dictatorship. Something far more free and fun...
http://atom.smasher.org/streetparty/?l1=Coming+Soon%%3A&l2=the&l3=Banana+Revolut...=
Anyway, I've been busy recruiting people for the world revolution, but
I haven't forgot that I was born in Cuba, and that it perhaps needs
some clear route to follow in this age of change. Besides, this
proposal makes a lot of sense for Cuba, having so many bicycles (but
bad for Venezuela whose revolution depends on oil)...
***
While America doesn't have an energy policy other than invading oil-
rich countries, Holland exhibits a Master Plan for bicycles, which is
sure to help the environment and the health of its inhabitants. We
propose a "Dutch Package" though that includes bicycles and other
issues (like marihuana) peculiar to the Dutch (Unpaid Political
Advertisement)...
(get some popcorn --and perhaps weed-- for the ride)

I recently read about scientists genetically engineering rice to make it
more
nutritious and releasing that rice into the public domain. I bet that
not even
Jeremy Rifkin can oppose that instance of genetic engineering.

On Feb 25, 4:47Â pm, 3960 Dead
The future will see that 3960 dead will be a small price
for what will be achieved in Iraq and the Mideast as a whole.
No question about it.

Concentration Camps in the US - Now Official, Mainstream News
Many of us have been aware of the information that I'm going to
provide for you on the following links for some time.
However, as it was only activists who were open to this information
who were considering it and asking ourselves what to do about it; I
did not disseminate it widely as I knew it would be rejected by the
mainstream.
Well, former Congressman Daniel Hamburg made this information an issue
for the mainstream recently. He is extremely brave for doing so and
his contribution is invaluable.

Anarchist commissioner finds room for both roles
By TIM O'MEILIA
Palm Beach Post Staff Writer
Sunday, February 24, 2008
LAKE WORTH -- If anarchists were organized, Cara Jennings would be
president of the club.
Instead, she's a Lake Worth city commissioner.
Except when she's out protesting free trade, the Scripps Research
Institute location, low farmworker wages and lack of women's rights, for
starters.
Add gas-burning power plants to the list.
When 27 environmentalists were arrested Monday for blocking the entrance
to the site of a Florida Power & Light plant being built in western Palm
Beach County, Jennings negotiated terms with deputies and acted as
spokeswoman for the group. She was not arrested.

Is the Political Spectrum a Circle?

RUSH: Control over you, take away from you. Damn straight. But why do
you think I coined the term "feminazi" to describe the most fervent
pro-abortion women in this country? Well, I mean what did the Nazis do?
[The Nazis banned abortion. Rush labels feminists "feminazis" because
they disagree with a Nazi policy that Rush agrees with.--DC]
[...]
RUSH: Right, but, you know, here's the thing about these labels. Is
the only thing that convinced you that the Nazis were not right wing was
the fact they had socialist and workers in the name of their party?
