Once, but not in order end of 3 to end, then starting at beginning
(when dvd's came out)

Michael - I know, there are many a reason against him but his
strength, dedication and understated nature do it for me. Also the
accent and agility helps (- sorry getting superficial there). His
drive throughout the entire show was magnificent, always one step
ahead.

OK, except for lil fuzzy, this hasn't generated the storm of
passionate response I was hopin for, so I'll give it a shot myself.

Twice all the way through, only on DVD. I only saw part of one episode
on TV at a friend's house one night, and I've never figured out which
one it was. Very tantalizing. Then, I've seen some episodes a lot more
since then; others I will never watch again.

Michael, of course. Because he is wicked and heroic and corrupt and
pure and wise and wiley and out of his frigging mind. And clever
clever clever. I like the wit and the sekrits and, as lil fuzzy says,
the grace.

OK, Mal, here's a bit more fodder.

Number of times you've seen the whole LFN series (to your best
estimate):
**Three (first run, reruns, DVDs) Let me add that, due to TV reruns,
I've probably seen all of S1 about 20 times, and it remains for the most
part my fave entire season.

Favorite character (and why):
**AND
Least favorite character (and why):
**I guess this is sort of a cop-out, but... At any given time through
the course of the series, I both loved and hated all seven of the
primary characters. I loved each because they evolved - not always
satisfyingly - but there was change that was (for the most part) logical
as the stories unfolded. For Section One to be such a fantastical place,
the character evolution was really quite "normal", i.e. a logical
response to the given stimuli within the framework of each of the
characters, as we came to know them.

As usual, I'm a bit tardy posting this, but here's part two of my
responses.

Favorite scene:
**Off the top of my head, I'd say the shooting Michael-rolling chair of
Hard Landing. Then again, there are so many...The Hand Dance, the War
cages, lost Michael dancing with Nikita in Not Was, the first shot of
Michael holding Adam in LFM, the love slinky of ITLG, various scenes
from S5 depicting Ops.' disintegration.

Favorite canon pairing:
**I have to go with the obvious, M&N. Their relationship was crucial to
the entire series. It was also romantic as hell.

Favorite non-canon pairing:
**In S5, I would have enjoyed seeing Helmut Volker return in the role
given to O'Brien. That could have proven especially interesting upon
Michael's return. Hmmm

I'd been holding off commenting on the responses until I finished my
own, not wanting to taint my opinions. By then of course, both Kirsty's
and Mal's posts had dropped off the board. So now, with the help of
Google Groups search, I'll resurrect and re-post them, with my comments
to follow over the next few days.

Do you have all five seasons on DVD now?

I agree totally about Michael, even when the plot lines grew ridiculous,
Michael's charism held the show together. And, I too, was fascinated by
Madeline.
