German leaders believed in death before dishonor. They knew the
allies were subhuman monsters:

Eyewitness account by Mrs. Leonora Geier (nee Cavoa, born Oct 22,
1925, Sao Paulo,
Brazil) to Dr. Trutz Foelsche, Ph.D

Deutsche Nationalzeitung, No. 17-65, p. 7:

"On the morning of February, 16, (1945) a Russian detachment
occupied the RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) camp Vilmsee near Neustettin.
The Commissar told me in good German language that the camp was
dissolved and that we, as a unit with uniforms (RAD - German Labour
Service, not military uniforms), would be transported to a collection
camp. Since I, as a Brazilian citizen, belong to an allied nation, he
asked me to take over as a leader of the transport that went to
Neustettin, into the yard of the former iron factory. We were about
500 girls (Maidens of the Reichsarbeitsdienst - German Labour
Service).

The Church. The Greatest Deceit in the History of the World

The Church. The Greatest Deceit in the History of the World

Most people think that the Church is the same as the Assembly of
God, the Body of Christ, but it is not the same. This word "church"
is an improper word for those who believe in Jesus and love him.
The Greek word "ekklesia" that is translated to "church", means
"called out", and those who are "called out" are only those who
believe in Jesus and have received him as their personal Saviour.
Please, read John 15:18-21.

The word "church" occurs not at all in the Bible. "The Assembly of
God" is a better name of those who love Jesus. Nowhere in the
Swedish Bible can we find the word "church" (kyrka). I never use
the word "church" or "kyrka" when I mean those who believe in
Jesus. In the year 1981 we got a new Swedish translation of the
New Testament where they have used the word "kyrka". This
translation is a falsification with many grave perversions of the
bible word. I would never give such a bible to anyone.

Devotional Guide For the week of September 14, 2008

GOD WILL PROVIDE

About all we need

To read the Bible in one year, today read Isaiah 34-36

To Know:

³The Lord has mingled within her a spirit of confusion; and they have made
Egypt stagger in all her doings as a drunken man staggers in his vomit. And
there will be nothing for Egypt which head or tail, palm branch or reed, may
do.² (Is.19: 14,15)

Is all of God, or is there a force in the universe able to thwart the will
of God? That was the question at the heart of the book of Isaiah. Was
Israel¹s God really God or did the nation need help from Egypt to defeat
their enemies? In Isaiah 19 God tells his people what he thinks of the
strength of Egypt. Not much. Egypt will tremble at the approach of the Lord.
God, not Egypt, is Israel¹s hope. It is no less true for us today. The Lord
is our hope. He is sufficient. He is all we will ever need. This is the
great lesson that life is designed to teach. This is why we walk by faith
and not by sight.

GOD WILL PROVIDE

About slip-ups

To read the Bible in one year, today read Isaiah 31-33

To Know:

³But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman,
born under the law, to redeem those who were under the lawв (Gal. 4:4,5)

³Oops² is not in the vocabulary of heaven. This is a word that follows a
slip of the tongue or when things go unexpectedly wrong. There are no
slipups with God.

Jesus was born at exactly the right time. Rome was a highly organized
empire. Unknowingly, Rome organized the world for the coming of Christ. The
Caesars connected the empire with roads. The saying was...

GOD WILL PROVIDE

About needs met

To read the Bible in one year, today read Isaiah 22-24

To Know:

³So Abraham called the name of that place The Lord will provide; as it is
said to this day, ŒOn the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.¹² (Gen.
22:14)

Throughout most of the 19th century, George Mueller of Bristol cared for
thousands of orphans and gave away millions of pounds sterling to make
Christ known. Mueller made a pact with the Lord never to tell anyone the
nature and extent of his need until after the Lord had met it. This practice
was a strategy to display to the watching world the faithfulness of God.
Mueller¹s biography is a record of miraculous provision.

September 15th - St. Nicomedes of Rome M (RM)

September 15th - St. Nicomedes of Rome M (RM)

Died c. 90.

The Emperor Constantine Copronymus thought that the relics of the saints
and
martyrs were worthless objects, and that anyone who collected the bones of
the
holy ones was a fool. He therefore set about finding as many of these sacred
remains as he could and throwing them into the sea.
Pope Saint Paschal I, who was elected in 817, 32 years after the emperor's
death, disagreed. Whereas Constantine Copronymus had got rid of saintly
bones,
Paschal I conceived it as his duty to find as many replacements as possible.
The
church of Santa Prassede in Rome is filled with all that he collected, their
names inscribed on marble tablets close by the sanctuary.

What to keep an eye on

Devotional Guide For the week of September 7, 2008

A CLOSE CALL

What to keep an eye on

To read the Bible in one year, today read Isaiah 13-15

To Know:

³Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us
also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run
with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the
pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him
endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of
the throne of God.² (Heb12: 1,2)

Feelings of awe and angst fought in our children as they watched the
tightrope walker traverse the top of the old Boston Garden. They thought,
how do these performers dare to do this? How do they keep their balance
being so far from the floor and close to the roof?

The secret to walking a high wire is what you choose to look at. Looking at
the wire will ensure eventual doom. Finding a fixed point beyond the wire
and staring it down all the way to the end of the walk will ensure arrival.
