- health care could be reformed if the health insurance is limited to
catastrophic hospitalization only. people must be given 100pct tax write off
for the out of pocket non-hospital med expenses just like the mortgage
interest deduction. the people who can afford insurance surely can afford
these non-hospital out of pocket expenses. this is so simple that it must be
politically inconvenient. lobying and politics are making simple matters
complicated.
right now insurance is working as a meddling middleman milking the sytem and
screwing the hospitals, doctors, the patients and pharmacies. it is creating
all kinds of paper work that cuts down on real medical productivity, and
have turned medical professionals into smart billing clerks. i think the
healthy people should give up insurance altogether for 3 years to get the
insurance company see its real role.
