Funny, not too long ago (in a galaxy far far away...) I was posing to
some Star Trek folks the question of how many things show in fiction
we currently had as commonplace nowadays.
Doc's world is a fertile place for many things that were cutting edge
then but are vintage now, like personal audio recorders. (Although I
seem to remember them being done with a WIRE as the medium.)
