Mitt and the Mormons

I'm kind of surprised that Romney is having so much trouble with the
religion issue. Sure, *I* think Mormon beliefs are kind of weird, but I
think many denominations have weird beliefs. I'm surprised that
religious middle America is so biased against Mormons. I thought
everyone got over it when Donny and Marie had their own TV show. Is
anyone else surprised that this issue is working against him so much?

I am not surprised that it is working against him with certain
GOP-catered to and extreme right -leaning Evangelical sects.

There are some people who do not consider Mormons, or sometimes even
Catholics, as Christian.

Nobody wants a President that consults his hat before making the big
decisions.

20 odd years ago my friend from a very Presbyterian family was about to get
married to a Catholic girl. When my friend introduced her to his 90
something year old great grandmother the GGM asked her what religion she
was.

After the answer the GGM said to her great grandson, "Well, why don't you
just marry a n***er."

My friend loves telling that story when ever he get's a chance.

Is he really having that much trouble with the religion issue or is it
pandering to the right for the nomination not so long after pandering
to the left/MOR for MA governor?

I always thought was hurting him the most is that he is just a total
phoney.
