A list of ten quotes falsely attributed to Lincoln,
but that may indeed contain some truth depending
on your point of view. A little critical analysis reveals
the flaws.

Is Walt stealin' tiles? I thought one had seven tiles in one's rack
with which to work. I'm thinkin' his bingo required nine.
Been a while since I've played, but I know there are mavens here of
the Scrabble, if not the comic strip, variety. And this is ever so
much more fun than lookin' it up, n'est ce pa?

On a US internet radio station, an ad that says that if you've run up
a debt on a credit card, you should get in touch because "we're credit
card debt advocates".
So, presumably, you ring up and say "I owe $5K on my Visa card", and
they say "that's great news!" and hang up?
So, what do US advocates advocate? Advocaat?

I have Vista Home Premium and the Wireless Optical Mouse, and don't know if
this is a Vista or mouse issue. While viewing web pages (with either IE or
Firefox) and I scroll to the top and keep scrolling, the screen goes down
1-2 "clicks". Any idea what's going on with this?
Thanks!

I'm thinking of buying one of those "garden in a can" sealed heirloom
seed, WTSHTF collections...
Some folks that offer the collections, proudly state they add oxygen
absorbers to promote long storage... others claim the seeds need
oxygen, so they specifically state they DO NOT add said O2 absorbers.
Who is correct? I'd guess that since seeds are baby (embryonic)
plants, and given that 'inhale' CO2, and 'exhale' O2, they wouldn't
need oxygen, especially if stored in a freezer. Course, I'd hate to
guess wrong and lose a Victory Garden to dumbassery.

It’s a catty kind of season with dramatic cat eyes entering this
season front and center. If you’ve check the catwalk, no pun intended,
this season –catty is certainly in. Gucci, Sass & Bride gave cat eyes
a whole new meaning. Estee Lauder is calling the look the “new
Cleopatra.” Very retro and certain to make a statement as this look
has great impact!
You’re a gal who has confidence in her style and you want to be “in”
with this seasons “cat eyes.” How do you accomplish this futuristic
feline look at home?
First make sure you have a black eyeliner pencil in your make up
repertoire . Maybelline Cool Effect is an eyeliner eye shadow
combination, Cover Girl has there eyeslicks gel eyecolors, and Estee
Lauder has the Softsmudge Black. There are plenty of other good ones
on the market.
Apply foundation, make sure it’s flawlessly applied and then highlight
temples and cheekbones ever so slightly. Add light lip color –
remember your eyes are the focus.
Cover under the eye with concealer. This will prevent smudging.

RIP Edward Lorenz (April 16)
Nobody seems to have mentioned this before. Perhaps I was just
strangely attracted to his theories.

NPR was doing a report on UFO data this morning. It got me to
wondering ...
Many UFO believers think the government is hiding UFO data. In 1950,
the classification was higher than the "Top Secret" hydrogen bomb
(according to today's radio guest). Perhaps the UFO belivevers of
AFCA can help me understand some things.
Why bother to keep it a secret? Is the government keeping it from its
own citizens or are they hiding it from North Korea? If we are being
visited by aliens, wouldn't it be better for the entire human race to
form a united front?
If the aliens landed in New Mexico or Nevada, they must have they
landed in Argentina, or Kenya, or Iran as well? Are the Argentinians,
Kenians, and Iranians hiding it too? How many people are "in" the
know? Are all the governments in on the conspiracy?
