Actual CH4 level is 1760 parts per Billion, thats 1.76 ppm.

A group predicts that there will be a fundamental change to the Earth`s
climate patterns within 100 months if we continue to produce anthropogencic
CO2 and CH3 at the current rate . They are probably both right and wrong as
calculations show that there is enough CO2 in the atmosphere to make the
seas acid within 500 years ,already the ocean dead zones are spreading ,
metasulphonic acid emmissions from the N.Atlantic have increased by 20%% in
the last 25 years .Acid seas will kill the picroplankton that oxygenate the
atmosphere allowing sulphate reducing bacteria to reach the
surface -eventually the seas will give off H2S which will kill off oxgen
using life at a conc of< 8ppm .The last time this happened at the Permo
Triassic boundary when 96%% of macrolife went extinct . The sludge ball earth...

Recent methane measurements from the Dome C ice core (Nat vol. 453 p383 15th
May 08) are causing serious concern as they indicate that current levels of
1770 p.p.b.v are at least twice those ever seen during the last 800,000
years (and up to 5* the lower levels ).Methane is a much stronger greenhouse
gas than CO2 and will eventually result in major climate transitions (though
the fact that this insn`t happening introduces further doubts into the
reality of climate computer 'models'!).Nonetheless messing with the
atmosphere on this scale is inevitably catastrophic for life on Earth and
can not be allowed to continue .This information is so alarming that it must
lead to coercive population control (already under discussion by several
