YELLOWSTONE FIRE
Fire crews have shored up defenses around a century-old lodge and houses and
cabins outside Yellowstone National Park, as a 29-square-mile fire continued
to push closer through mountainous terrain.
The Columbine fire began with an August 9th lightning strike. It's
threatening a 1904 lodge built by Buffalo Bill Cody, and part of the Pahaska
Tepee Resort

A DANGEROUS DAY ON THE FIRE LINES THIS AFTERNOON
Thursday, August 16, 2007
Parts of Highway 93 are closed right now, as the Black Cat fire makes a run
dangerously close to the highway and houses.
Residents on Fred's Lane are evacuated right now. The fire is burning
within feet of houses. Fire officials are urging people to stay off of
Highway 93. Right now it is closed between Waldo Lane and Joe's Smoke Ring
and an all valley structure task force has been called out to defend the
homes in the area.
