Marin residents fight to take their beach back
Say response was "non-existent"
BOLINAS, California
Monday, Nov. 12, 2007
The sheen of oil that's moved out of the bay is threatening some especially
fragile places along the Marin County coastline.
In Bolinas, people were angry today.
"I continue to hear that Bolinas Lagoon is a top priority. I believe that.
How it boils down to bureaucrats and agencies, I am not privy to that," says
Anita Brown, Bolinas Fire Chief.

Oil spill threatens Bay Area wildlife
Birds, seals covered in oil
BERKELEY, California
Nov. 9, 2007
The oil continues to wash-up on the East Bay shores, and wildlife is paying
the price of a human mistake.
"It's a two fold effort trying to keep more oil from getting in to some
boats, and in other cases keeping the oil trapped in and around the boats so
it doesn't spread out when the currents change," said Berkeley Fire
Department Deputy Chief deputy chief David Orth.
