Unusual Weather Sparks Severe Brush Fires
2 Brush Fires Possibly Caused by Lightning Burning in Northern L.A. County
ACTON, California

Firefighters are battling three brush fires, two of which may have been
started by lightning strikes, in northern Los Angeles County.
The brush fires are burning in three different areas. One is near Big Bear,
another west of Lancaster, and the third near Acton.
Firefighters are having a difficult time battling the blaze burning in the
rugged country in the Angeles National Forest in Acton.
It started around 14:30 Sunday. So far it has burned about 350 acres.
