Firefighters battle massive hotel fire in Montgomery County
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS

Firefighters in Montgomery County had their hands full with a hotel fire
reported at 06:30.

The hotel. under construction, was to open within one week.

Fire hydrants at the scene were not working and the interior sprinkler
system was not functioning.

Porter, New Caney, Needham, The Woodlands, Kingwood, Little York, Splendora,
Spring, Houston, Crosby, Klein, Cy-Fair, Lake Conroe, Magnolia, Montgomery
and South Montgomery County fire departments responded to the scene.

Every firefighter was dispatched, not only to help contain the blaze but to
truck in water from as far as a mile away.

ATF will assist in this investigation since the dollar loss amount is so
high.
