Elvis and Lisa Marie Presley's 'In the Ghetto'

Only listened to it once, but didn't like it much. Although I never was a
great fan of those computer made duets in the first place, the Don't Cry
Daddy duet was very nice, but of course that's just IMHO.

It was okay, nothing earth shattering, but okay. But the video? Good
Lord, what was with all the babies holding guns? Why didn't they just
go the extra mile and throw in some crack pipes or dirty needles?

I thought her old man would have been proud of her doing this.

She's showing a lot of geniune compassion for the underdog, I like that.

But the babies and guns imagery does come over a bit too strong.

I'm not usually one who overreacts...but I found the babies/guns
things a bit exploitative. But hey, that's just me. (And clearly, low
budget vid.)

Still, they do sound nice together...too much Lisa footage and too
little Elvis, though. However, they picked a great period to show of
him, and the resemblance is so strong between them using Elvis from
that time period.

Thanks for posting that link....as there were some other great things
on Elvis there. Loved the Elvis quotes they had. (From famous people,
about Elvis...quite a few I hadn't read before.)

I did the same.

I did the same. Stupid quiz question.

I answered fact too - because I just thought it was worded clumsily.

Oh, and the 'Elvis never ate grilled peanut butter & banana' I clicked true,
because I thought they were fried!

Stupid bloody quiz.

Well, it was sure nice of Tammy Faye Baker to help Lisa with her eye makeup
for this video just before she died.

Jeesh. What the hell was that all about? Did Lisa have a huge crying spell
just before they filmed her doing this? I mean, sure I cried when I first
heard this song but I was only 6 years old.
