Everyone in the developed world except the Americans accepts these axioms:

Money is gold, silver, and platinum. Paper is currency, fiat currency when
it is not fully exchangable at fixed rates for money. The Arabs in
particular realize the unbacked Dollar U.S. can be printed in unlimited
quantity, depreciating without limit. $129 per barrel oil and increasing
without limit is just one relection of the inflated Dollar U.S.

The Dollar U.S. has been fiat currency since 1935 and weakening ever since.
It is now in free-fall. It took a lifetime to bring it down to its knees,
but nothing can keep it from falling into the oblivion of a black hole,
unless the next U.S. President restores the precious metal standard to its
currency making it once again real money. Once fixed at $20 per troy ounce
of gold and exchangable at any U,S. commercial bank for gold, the Dollar
U.S. can still be officially redeemed for metal: 100 pennies, 20 nickels, 4
quarters, 2 halves, or 1 dollar coin, ALL COMPOSED OF BASE METAL ONLY worth
less than their equivilant weight in rustless steel.
