Thank you.
I'm on the west coast in Seattle. There's a place nearby like the link you
posted but I haven't been there.
Wolves hold a special place for me. I've seen a few in the wild. One was
raiding my Montana chicken house. I don't blame the wolf, it was a food
issue. I used to have a pack (4) of husky mix, maybe wolf or coyote mixed in
too. They were wonderful companions. I lived in much wilder locations during
that part of my life. They weren't very good city dogs but excelled in the
woods and mountains. I used to picked Morel mushrooms in a canyon inhabited
by black bears. The dogs were very good at rousting the bears, at least long
enough for me to make the rounds and gather up the Morels.
Never any confrontations, the bears kept their distance.
Sure do miss the pack, they've all gone to dog heaven. They were the best
companions, human or animal, that I have known.
