Next Saturday, May 3rd 2008, is the day of the annual Pot Parade!
Thousands of people all around the world will gather to celebrate a
harmless, beneficial plant and to demand the freedom to legally possess and
use it.
http://www.myspace.com/the08march
In New York City the event will begin with a rally in Tompkins Square Park,
Ave. A and E. 7th street, at 11:30.
Several bands and speakers will be featured.
The massive march to the UN will begin around 1:00 - 1:30 from the park.
David Peel and the Lower East Side will play on a mobile stage enroute.
At the UN rally there will be additional bands and speakers.
Alcohol and tobacco, both legal substances, kill thousands yearly.
Pot kills no one and is medically useful, but you can be arrested for having
it!
Is this justice?
Come - make your voice heard on May 3rd - LEGALIZE IT!

Legalizing it for distribution, sales and taxing it properly with high
grade
strains much like wine is now sold - is the only logical way to save
our

What is wrong with our economy?
Decriminalize it, and keep government incompetence
out of our drugs.

Haven't paid much attention to the price of gasoline
which increases the price of food, et al. As a friend of mine
says "if you bought it trucker brought it". Not to mention
loss of jobs in all sorts of industries and enormous trade
balance deficits with China among others. The decline in
the dollar has passed you by or maybe you bought gold when
it was less than half the present price?

CA has it's dispensaries (with sales tax on the "meds") . . . . LA has
about 300 "clubs", Co-Ops, Dispensaries - for it's "legal" Patients with
Dr.'s recommendations! However, the May 3rd March is very small here
(20 people??).
