Drug bust yields 40 pounds of marijuana
By John Nickerson Staff Writer
November 3, 2006
NORWALK - Police seized 40 pounds of marijuana Wednesday and arrested
three people after intercepting a 17-pound package of pot en route to
an East Norwalk home.
A drug-sniffing dog with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration found
the package during a search of the UPS distribution center in South
Norwalk, Norwalk police Lt. Timothy Murphy said.
The package was addressed to 10 Winfield Court in East Norwalk. After
obtaining a search-and-seizure warrant, the package was delivered while
undercover officers and DEA agents surrounded the house.
With guns drawn and the scent of marijuana strong outside the home,
police identified themselves and knocked loudly on the door.
When no one answered, the back door was forced open, and they executed
the warrant.
Inside the kitchen, police found the delivery box containing 17 pounds
of marijuana, Murphy said.

Indeed... Basically, you tend to lose everything you own in a drug bust.
Sux, but that's reality.
