Ten days and counting until King Crimson plays at the Park West
in Chicago! Woot, I have balcony seats too! The line-up is Robert
Fripp, Adrien Belew, Pat Mastelotto, Tony Levin and Gavin Harrison.
The latter is a second percussionist and plays somewhat like Bill
Brufford. I am making hash oil chocolate chip cookies to take along to
eat just before I get on the train. I hear through the grapevine that
they like the Park West venue so well that they will be filming for a
possible DVD release!
I am so there!!!

Nine days and counting! Tried out some hash oil cookies and
decided 12 drops was a bit excessive and consciousness-optional.

Well, while King Crimson rocks your boat, Saturday (in Hollywood), Ringo
& His All Stars Band are gonna be at The Greek Theatre (outdoors) . . .
wish I had tickets, maybe IF I go there early, I might buy one from a
"no-show" from someone ($40.).

Tomorrow, Nie Inch Nails rocks Chicago's Grant Park for
Lollapalooza; Radiohead is playing there too. At $80 for tickets and
having to be in a hot sweaty crowd in 80+ degree weather, I'll have to
pass. I did score the NIN CD/DVD special edition release of "The
Slip", and the 5 songs they do in a live practice absolutely rock!
Robin Fink has returned to the band, and this line-up seems to be
about their best.
5 days and counting now to KC's concert. I have hash cookies
at the ready!

3 days and counting and the hash cookies look
kinda...crunch...munch...good! Lol! Well, I have to test them, right?
Ok, I knew that laready. But, that's why I made extras. 2 are in the
freezer awaiting the day of the concert.
I'm a KCrim head! Yeah!

Ok, so I ate a cookie with like 10 of these hash oil/alcohol
drops in it on the way home from work. This is what I planned on doing
tomorrow when I leave for the concert. I ate supper, cleaned up the
dishes and now it's like 3 hours later and I have a nice stone going
on, really clear headed and all of my senses are on this really alert
buzz. I sat down on the couch to give the kitty a few treats and a
good brushing while I had a nice cold beer. Holyshit did I get a head
rush when I stood up! I am really toasted and this is such a nice buzz
to partake of a concert with. I am, however, going to wait until I
arrive at the train station before I eat it, so that the buzz gets
it's start just a little bit before I arrive at the concert and get
seated. Drinks there are expensive and the mixed drinks are measured
shots, so you drink beer. At $5 a beer (plus another buck tip if you
ever expect to get served again), you don't drink very many either. I
figure I'll have about two, period. I have to work the following
morning too. Ugh. At least there is no such thing as a bad seat there,
and the balcony will make it even better. Heh, maybe I'll even be able
to see the infamously poorly lighted Robert Fripp from there! Lol!
Hard to believe it's concert time already and tomorrow night
I'll get to hear some of the new ProjeKCt Six stuff too! Woot! I so ...

I've got Ozzfest this weekend in Dallas, but unforunately I can't partake
right now. I might as well not even go :(

All I can say is WOW!
Cookies were consumed just before we got on the train, and
since our stomachs were empty the cookies kicked in before we got off
of the train just over an hour later. After a Kamikaze cab ride from
the train station, we went in and I scored a concert t-shirt before we
headed for the balcony seats. These are little more than midget bar
stools and the balcony is fairly narrow, more like a walkway. We sat
down and after chatting with a few other concert goers and pondering
which side Fripp would sitting at the roadies came out on stage and
began putting the finishing touches on everything. After a bit, the
Kings Crimson took the stage and magic happened. By then, my buzz is
perfect and I'm rocking to the incredibly loud double-percussionist
line-up of Pat Mastelotto and Gavin Harrison.
At first, Gavin didn't seem too particularly animated but I
think that was the plan because as a few songs were played he was
involved more and more...and then...suddenly...Gavin and Pat just
proceeded to plow us down with this incredible display of precision
synchronized percussion that only KC could pull off. The rest of the
show had us on the edges of our seats and my neck still hurts from
headbanging! All thoughts of Gavin just being an accompanying ...
