I enjoy all kinds of music when I'm high: Rap, Rock, Pop, Latin, Greek,
Israeli, Turkish, Malti language, Classical, Flamenco, Arabic, even
Tribe and Small Community music..
When I toke I really feel the depth of some Rap songs,
Last one enjoyed today was Young Hustlaz: Beat Down the Block,
www.allhiphop.com
Pay attention to the whistling sound.. Hipnotizing.. Amazing!
And yes I'm not black.. surprise?

Did anyone besides me suffer through the bullshit on Leno last nite?
I'm not a big fan of rap, but I can respect it when it's respectable,
but hearing Kevin Federline (or whatever his name is) rap about "Prada"
and bullshit was just comedic.
It was so bad it was almost a parody of rap.
His lead singer wasn't all that bad though.
The whole act taken as a whole was just sad though.

If you truly enjoy 'depth' in hiphop, try Wu-Tang, especially solo albums
by GZA, Raekwon & Ghostface (for some reason, when I toke and listen to
their music, I hear a different story i.e. Animal Planet by GZA)
Nas & Tupac aren't too bad either.. enjoy!!

I moved on... I listen more to the latest dirty albums out there. You
know, 2006 stuff
Gangsta, Pimp, Bragging and Hoe shit../. a lot of people say Rap is
dead, I don't think so. Those who say that are those who are getting
older.
But you will need some nice subs and amp to enjoy it, othersiwe it will
sound like listening to am radio.
Don't judge that music unless you listen to it Stoned, loud with *subs*
in your car

I don't give a damn about the lyrics, although I think that what they
are talking about is real and it happens. I just like the creativity,
amazing when they introduce those african root sounds like that
whisteling. and the bass, sound pressure changes makes me feel good
when I'm stoned. The voices of singers are also important, each
performer is a model attitude, behavior and voice of many people, they
also epresent their area and hoods.

I would love to go to Africa (Gambia, Guinea, Senegal etc. etc.) and beat
the drums with the Djembefola/Griots, for certain. Some those mudderfuggers
could slap a wet turd and make it sound fantastic. I fix Djembe better than
I play them.
