Anyone ever heard of anyone getting busted for growing a few plants indoors
for personal consumption?

Here, in L.A., it's been known to happen; it usually gets dismissed in
court (IF they've got a Dr.'s "Note"!). . . but, it'll cost the one
"busted" money for an attorney & bail . . . then they've got to try to
get their "property" back (dead plants/clones, seeds, lights, etc.)!! A
big hassel.

You always hear about marijuana grow operation busts on the news, but you
figure someone who knew about it got caught and snitched. I'm guessing it
would be hard to keep an operation of that size a small secret considering
that you would be selling to a lot of people.

Guess again. There are tons of people who are all for the ridiculous
war on drugs and many are in law enforcement and the court system, and
Jails are full of people who are basically good guys, etc.
