I have some tall thin leaved plants outdoors. not sure what latitude
I'm at, but the location is in the upper NY state area. I want them to
flower now...they appear to be females. how can I jump start the
process and then keep it going? I'm hoping for a very mild
september...or else. I guess I may have 4 or 6 weeks max left to get it
going and so far no buds...HELP

I'm very surprised they haven't started flowering yet. Mine in mid
atlantic region have been in flower for weeks. It is the sun that
prompts them to flower. Can you bring them in, if they are in pots,
and give them more light at night? I don't know, they should be in
full bloom. Good Luck. OH

See if there is a way you can cover your plants to darken
them almost completely but not suffocate them. Then, at the same time
everyday that closest approximates 11 hours of sunlight from morning...

Actually, most soils generate a fair amount of CO2 from fungal/bacterial
breakdown of organic matter, so if you can cover the plants more or less
light-tight through the night without them overheating during whatever
incidental sunlight-hours there might still be (and without them being
squished by the weight of covering), they'll dig the night-time carbon
feeding immensely. :-)

Whats the matter with paper bags? The light will not change directions and
go up in to the bag. While it itght look a little goofy, it should work. Of
course you might not get all the tops but it is better than a loss.
Peace

I bought these as seeds and they are supposed to be Afghani Special
from KC Brains. I was expecting short plants with dark fat
leaves...instead I got extremely tall plants with thin light color
leaves...
