So sorry about the Van. Dunno what kind it is, but we have 2 Toyotas,
one with 160 thousasnd miles, and the other 139 K. They keep on
ticking. The american car makers can't seem to design a decent car
that never quits like the Yotas, and I can't figure out why with all
the technology available today. It's disgusting. We feel lucky to
have gotten a brand that is a workhorse. DH does change the oil as
suggested, but he has since he was a kid with his first car.
We've had all kinds of financial drains, the most recent was the water
pump and tank going this weekend, $700, the week before, DH's
prescription plan, the premium of which was supposed to be deducted
from his Social Security check, informed us someone had made a mistake
and they have never been deducted, and we owe them $550. Before that
the engine on the riding lawnmower blew up, the pool pumps needed
rebuilding, and the motor for the pump on the koi pond died. We
replaced the washer, dryer, refrig, and dishwasher when he retired and
figured it would all be good. Oh and I forgot the AC crapped out and
had to be worked on and the Direct TV box died and had to be
replaced.Most of this in the last 8 months.
Does it ever quit? I hate to say it outloud, but there isn't much else
tht can break.
Glad you have a rider chair that can take you some places. Car
problems are the pits. Hope things go better for you real soon, and
not just Amsterdam.
