I remember we referred to them as smoking stems. In da 80s anyway.
The inconsiderate would always bogart the fucking thing when it got
towards the end, cough out and 'waste' every bit of smoke that they
took for themselves and stole from you. Then it finally passes the
smoking stem to you and you get to have the last of the burning paper
go into the back of your throat while you look into their watery eyes
while they keep coughing and act like the victim for what they did.
