You couldn't be more correct. I got some seeds once back in the early 80's
and planted them in early spring in the middle of nowhere -- just for fun
near a canyon close to Amarillo, Texas. I came back weeks later and
discovered nice plants about a foot tall! This was '80's dirt weed mind
you... I harvested the lot a month later because I was tipped that some
kids had discovered them and dried them out in the microwave. It was some
of the best weed I ever had (up to that point in time). It was nothing but
leaves and forming buds, but -- man -- it was good!

If I were -- at some point in time -- to consider growing for personal use,
I would work hard to get some really good seeds and grow the best.
Unfortunately, I live in a state with severe criminal laws for growing --
even just one plant. The risk isn't worth loosing my house, my car, and
all of my possessions over -- I just won't do it. Maybe someday I'll either
move to another state or perhaps it will be decriminalized enough that it
will be worth the risk. In the meantime, I consider the high cost of good
weed "insurance" money. I'm paying a higher premium but I'm keeping my
house, my car, and all of my possessions (just so long as I have small
(SMALL) quantities).

Cheers!
