What power lens do ya need to see Trichromes

We have a 5 x but that isn't doing it. I can see em slightly but not
to see the color, clarity and the change to cloudy or amber. We just
got a calalogue with all powers in it and I want to order it pretty
soon even tho I'll not need it til closer to fall.

Be aware that increased magnification also increases
hand shaking or leaf movement under a breeze. Actual
microscopes with stages are less aggravation above
30x.

Check Toys R Us for digital toy microscopes that can
be hooked up to your computer. Scientists as well
as kids are finding these quite useful as well as
cheap.

Are you going to take pictures or are you just bullshitting around and want
to examine their growth?

I currently use a 100mm Macro lens on my Sony Alpha 100 10.2 megapixil and
can see the trichromes at the size of 1/4 to 1/2 inch tall.
I like my toys though. If you would like to pay attention to them changing
in their final stages of life then the naked eye is better. No 2 buds will
ripen at the same time.

Personally when my plants are ready I take each bud off as it finishes. As
each knows different parts of the plant will finish before others.
Bummer most people here bitch about binary attachments or I would throw in a
picture or two.

As for identifying the sex I like to use a 50x magnifying glass that I
bought in Walmart. It cost less than $5 and works great.

Peace

Michael

Good advice...

Though, 5x actually should be pretty good.

I had a 20x and I saw them real good.
Heck, on some batches I did not even need to use a magnifying glass!
