Hello, friends! I'm Figgy, and just wanted to introduce myself. I just
recently became interested in cultivation, and once heard this was a
great place to gain info...so here I am!
I was also hoping to get a bit of feedback from the populace here
about my plans, which are as follows...
step 1:
Acquire some top-quality feminized seeds from a reputable source
(Leaning toward g13 x BB if I can find it)
step 2:
set up an 8 plant deep-culture system using a system of 8 5-gallon
buckets, perlite, 8 air-stones all hooked to a single 40-gal air pump.
Using a wide-spectrum compact florescent set to shine 24/7
question, though...anyone have any idea what nutrient levels the
strain I'm describing would prefer?
step 3:
construct a scrog over each of the buckets
step 4:
wait untill all plants are vegged

stick with cheap or bag seeds until your setup works reliably. You'll
probably need several crops before you get some good buds. Besides, you
need to see males and females, so you can use that info to make good seeds
later on.

Thanks mikey!
next question: I've decided to go with a diesel clone that a friend is
giving me as my mother for the 8 other plants (four in veg, four in
flowering) each 4 in their own perlite filled net pot. anyone know
what nutrient levels are desired at each stage, and what ph I should
keep the water?
final question:
anyone have a line on some white russian feminised seeds? I had a
couple, and was trying to mother them, but they got too hot and died
while I was out for the weekend...

I can't help with cloning. What nutes are you using? If you're going
straight hydro, use a good expensive nutrient, like the General Hydroponics
Flora series, following the directions. Then you don't have to worry about
pH. If you use something cheap, you'll probably have to augment with
manganese (via Epsom salts, I think), and keep the pH from 5.5 to 6.5 by
watching it like a hawk.
